Francis Fire was requested to attend a new florist retail business unit in Cheshire East, by the Responsible Person under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Their Fire Risk Assessor had attended the premise several days prior, assessing the overall fire risks for the retail unit, confirming the requirement for Portable Handheld Fire Extinguishers. Upon arrival, our skilled BAFE Accredited Engineer measured the overall site, considering all elements under British Standards BS5306-3 & 8.
A-Class fire risks were identified throughout the unit – the most common type of fire and consists of general combustibles such as wood, paper, and fabric. Electrical-Class fire risks were also identified throughout the unit – electrical equipment such as televisions, computers, and extension leads.
Our engineer then proceeded to install Kitemarked EN3/UKCA portable fire extinguisher(s) fire points throughout, consisting of 6-Litre Water Additive (13A) and 2KG CO2 Carbon Dioxide (34B), finished with photoluminescent ID signs, positioned with quality modular fire extinguisher stands.

Furthermore, a 1.2m x 1.2m hard-cased Kitemarked EN3/UKCA fire blanket was installed with a photoluminescent ID sign in the on-site cafe kitchen.
